To conclude: To us, the above-mentioned ruptures appeared quite obvious, indubitable, and predictable. But none of today’s innovations were created in a void. In reality, these events developed slowly, and they appeared only when they had reached the so-called ‘extractive conditions’, that is, a system of relations in which they were understood. What I have tried to put forward in this short presentation is that every progressive art museum already bears certain traces of future events, deeply imbedded in its historical and sometimes revolutionary narratives. We have to recognize the moment of activation when it comes. And perhaps it has come now.
